We are putting together our 1st ever donation transport to get the dogs at MAMAS things they need. The list below is what we are looking to get donated. If you plan to donate, please let your area coordinator know what you plan to donate. (A picture may be helpful.)
Things the shelter needs:
-Plastic crates which are in good shape for transport
-A couple more large wire crates WITH SIDE DOORS
-One or two good quality electric space heaters
-A few more of those heat disks you heat up in the microwave (with covers)
-A few dog beds (small & medim) since we will be keeping more dogs inside
-paper towels, latex gloves, bleach, laundry detergent, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, spray bottles, floor mopping solution, tape, copy paper, white card stock, white out pens, ink cartridges for our copier/printer,
-2" X 3" plastic zip lock bags which are perfect for sending meds up in.
-collars, harnesses, leashes, & slip leads for all sized dogs are always needed
-Dog toys that can be SANITIZED - no stuffed toys
-Flea preventive: Vectra or Comfortis is the best. But Frontline or Advantix or Advantage Multi and Revolution are also good.
-Medications such as panacur, cefalaxin 250 mg and 500 mg, doxycycline sometimes, clavomox - all sizes (or generic of it)
-Any kind of grooming stuff - shampoos, ear cleaners, etc., marquis paste - do not use Albon. miconizole sprays, maleseb shampoo, chlorahexiderm shampoo (these are both medicated for pups and dogs with bad skin)
-A couple more igloo dog houses - no need to send plastic doors - the dogs just chew them (THIS IS ONLY IF WE HAVE VEHICLE CAPACITY!)
