Duffy's Furever Home Run!

Duffy came to MAMAS at 4 months old back in May.  After growing up at MAMAS, she finally got out this past weekend & gained a lot of fans & stole a lot of hearts on her way to her rescue. Janet decided she wanted to add Duffy to her family.  Just a couple more steps are needed to finalize the adoption, but I’m starting to look for drivers now in hopes that Duffy & Janet with her husband Kevin can start spending their lives together!

PASSENGER INFORMATION:
ADULT DOG:
Tips on how to handle flight risk dogs & what to do if a dog gets away!  Please clip a regular leash to their harness & use a slip lead threading it through the hoops on the harness for added protection. Please be careful when handling them.  When possible, crate them in the car.  BTW, it is always good to have a pop-lid can of Vienna sausages or smelly cheap canned cat food.  Maybe even O' Roy which we would never normally feed a dog but smells great to a scared dog & can be used to lure a dog back.  Please remember to NEVER chase the dog if a dog gets away.  If the group can not catch the dog right away, call the monitor AND local animal control.  You will be advised further from there.

All traveling with HC, vetting records and are UTD on vaccinations in accordance with state and federal laws.
I am dependent on what the senders tell me about our passengers' temperaments. The very nature of rescue transport creates some risk for those who participate; even a good-natured animal may find it stressful to be passed from stranger to stranger and cooped up with other unfamiliar animals, and therefore may act in uncharacteristic ways.
As a Volunteer Transport Coordinator neither I nor anyone associated with this transport can accept liability for any accidents or incidents that may occur during the transport.
By agreeing to transport you acknowledge that risks are involved and agree not hold anyone involved responsible should an incident occur. All rescues have been screened and approved. Please note that passengers may change, and that passenger descriptions are from the sending contacts and may be subject to change. We do our best to ensure that all animals are healthy and of sound temperament, but please keep in mind that transport is stressful and can cause previously unknown health/behavior problems to surface.
